i recently applied for a work-from-home job through indeed last week, and they reached out to schedule a virtual interview with me. the first date and time wouldn't work out for me so we changed it to today at 2 pm. this morning, they sent me a link to where the interview would be conducted.
at 1:20, i started getting ready for my interview (cleaning up and light makeup). i pressed the link and joined the call at around 1:55 pm. i'm greeted with “host has not arrived yet” and wait in the waiting room. 2 pm passes and they're not there. 2:05, same thing. by 2:10 i'm starting to get worried. as i'm typing this, it's 2:32 pm and there's no sign of anyone joining.
i've double, triple and quadruple checked the interview date and time. they have a different time zone so i continuously make sure i am converting the times right. i am. i message them on indeed (where all our communication has taken place so far), and i get no answer. at this point, i'm pretty sure that i'm being stood up for this interview.
i'm really pissed because they seemed to make a big deal of me not being able to make the first time (which was only 2 hours before this interview), and then they go and do this. i've applied to dozens of jobs and i'd like to say my resume, experience, and education is pretty good. it's so difficult to land an interview these days so i am beyond frustrated right now.
edit: also want to add that i skipped studying for an exam to prepare and do this interview lol
