I started working at this job that currently pays $45,000 about 6 months ago. The company is great, work environment is very nice and management is awesome. However, I feel that I am being payed much less than I should, especially now that I have some experience. I accepted the salary because it is my first “real” full time job with excellent benefits and I needed actual experience. But now I feel that it’s an underwhelming paycheck. I live in DC and work as an executive assistant. However, I have been consistently doing far more beyond my original job duties. Executive assistant average in this area should be around 55k-65k. Mind you, I have a SAFe agile cert, AWS cloud cert, I am getting a PMP soon, and I am a current MBA student. I feel my value is far more than 45k… what do you think? and how would you go about being paid more?
