Spent time with my family over the weekend, and was actually enjoying getting to see everyone for about an hour. That is until my Boomer uncle wouldn’t stop complaining about seeing a sign that White Castle was hiring for positions starting at $15/hr. When I explained that “well yeah they're members of society too that need to pay for housing and food” he replied “that’s a job for high school dropouts, not adults”. Why don’t boomers realize that people who work these “demeaning low paying jobs” are the backbone of our workforce and are the only reason anything actually works from day to day? I’m sick of it and it's making it really hard to spend time with my extended family, as this is a mentality most of them share
