This really stuck out to me when my mom told me that requesting three days off after I have only been working at my job for two months is really bad, and taking advantage of them.
What's even worse is that not long before she said this, I told her they said they can't afford to pay me more than minimum wage.
There's another time that they asked me to come in on days off, and she said that's not being taken advantage of since I'm being paid and I can say no. Same situation for me requesting time off, they can also say no
