My girlfriend works for a company in MO. They’re very adamant that people do not clock more than 40hrs/week. They call it flex time so if you end up working a lot one day you’re supposed to just not work all of another day.
She often ends up having to work over 40hrs/week any ways though due to the jobs demands and has been putting in the time accordingly.
Her boss recently reached out and said their time sheet was messed up as they had over 40 hours of work and when she told him that’s what she worked he said they shouldn’t be going over 40 and that she would need to complete an OT sheet.
It gets more interesting as she goes through her previous weeks, as she knows she’s logged more than 40 for several weeks, and finds that all of her time sheets have been “adjusted” down to 40/week.
What are her options for recourse? This has been going on for a few months now.
