Boss asked me to help find my replacement

I told my boss I was taking another job in three weeks. Better pay, better benefits, opportunity for advancement, the whole thing. He was very gracious and understanding about it, which I'm sure is rare to hear in this sub. He also asked if I knew of anyone who could take over for me after I'm gone. I'd like to help him out, but it's really hard to throw someone under the bus like this. My current job pays $12/hr (state min. wage), does offer a mediocre health insurance plan, but has no other insurance, no retirement, no real opportunity to even pick up extra hours if you wanted to. I don't know anyone who needs a job that bad, but I still feel bad leaving them hanging like that. Is there a polite way to say “You're fucked”?
