Does anyone know if a company can legally not give you tips earned through a tip share program they use in store when you leave the company? I was employeed working at a food truck and quit last week after my boss threw equipment across the truck in a fit of rage. I just got my check and the hourly rate is on there but no tips from the hours worked. They have messed up pay in the past and I had to fight tooth and nail to get pay that I had earned. I called and let the owner know but I am most positive he does not plan on calling me back. Previously I had heard if your fired they normally don't pay your tip share but I quit so I'm confused.
