I am at this new job only for a month. I will start with the fact that as a newbie you make 600€ for 6 months, half of what collegues with indefinite contract make. I am already 99% sure they will fire me because i don't do so much overtime for free as my colleague. This collegue is also new, she works there for 4 months and she is licking the boss's bottom. We work as embroiders of very expensive brands you all know.. She takes home boxes of clothes that she prepares and should do at work instead. She takes it home and works 3 hours for free. Then she does overtime during the week like 3-4 hours Total. And then she comes on saturdays for 4 hours for free. I unfortunately need to keep up with her and do the same, otherwise they will compare us and fire me immediately. Boss claims she will count our overtime hours and then we can get paid off days. Yeah you guessed it, so far that collegue got only one paid off day during these 4 months even though she is eligible for like 2 weeks. Anyways so far i did 3 out of 4 Saturdays for 4 hours. This time i had the AuDaCiTy to come only for 2 hours instead of 4. Boss got passive aggressive and “nicely coated” she told me that if i come only for 2 i can fck off and it is useless. Even though every single day she screams and stresses that we are late with the clothes and we must do overtime. I guess we are not that late if she isnt grateful for 2 hours of my work for free. Mind you, this week i already worked 2 and half hours for free. So 4 and half in total with this saturday… Btw this is first world country in Europe
