Washington is an at-will state so technically this isn’t illegal. But why is it such a bad thing to not want to get anyone else sick? I have a very weak immune system and I’ve been going to the doctor’s to figure out why. I haven’t got an answer yet but hopefully soon we will know something. Anyways, I work with the public, so of course I’m gonna get sick. The issue is, when I get sick, I become bedbound for at least the first day. But it just baffles me that my boss expects me to come in, especially with Covid still going around in my county, while I’m sick with respiratory issues. But it baffles me even more to know that it’s 100% LEGAL to FIRE ME for being sick. I was gonna quit anyways because I was constantly being discriminated against, but I was gonna wait until I had something else lined up that way I wasn’t broke.
