I work at a small cafe for a small own owner one establishment. I work my ass off at 17 working 35 hour weeks
I really did love my job tho…until I was called by my older sister that my mom had gone unconscious at work and she has a history of cancer and other scary things so I called my manager and let her know and she said it was fine
she told me the next day that I was going to be written up for not “communicating” and that my mother was fine where she was and she didn’t need me next to her and that me going was “unnecessary”
Never have I ever thought of quitting so fast. What are y’all’s thoughts on this? Should I quit?
