Boss got on my ass for not coming in today. Texted him last night saying I won’t be coming in because I have to take care of my post-op mother since there’s no one else home. He said he doesn’t like how I manage priorities and has been rude ever since. Am I in the wrong ? Check body for context.

I’m a student and this is my part time job at a local grocery store. I’ve been here for a month and a half. Never called in sick, always was on time and did my job. Did I do something wrong or are his expectations just unrealistic?
