Every day that I have off, without fail, my boss will call/text me to ask me to come in. On my days off, I have my phone on do not disturb or silent because it’s MY time off. I barely get two days as is, and my husband and I are planning a wedding, so we’re normally pretty busy with that stuff anyways. So when I don’t answer in an “appropriate” amount of time, or at all, he gets pissed.
I haven’t answered for several days because I don’t see them until hours later, and at that point, there’s no point in saying anything to him. So his solution is to cut my hours back to pretty much nothing and then saying that I can make up my hours “if I want to, when he calls me.” I find it ridiculous that me, taking my own SCHEDULED two days off are this big of a deal. If you wanted me there, you should have scheduled me. I’m not an on call employee, nor am I PRN.
This is after I’ve done everything in my job description and I get nothing but compliments from others when I work. So he’s doing this to just fuck me over because I won’t work 6-7 days a week. What a great boss.
