Basically Title. The longer story is that my boss had promised me a promotion mid year back at the beginning of the year as she reportedly “missed the window to put in for my promotion.”
Fast forward to a week ago when I brought it up she made the claim that the company as a whole is not doing any promotions during the midyear review cycle. Being suspicious of this I reached out to several director level folks that are close friends of mine and learned that they had all put in for promotions for their employees with no direction from HR on a promotion freeze.
So now I know my manager was lying to me with a sloppy lie, I’m going to let her really dig herself into a hole with it, and then bring up the fact that I know she’s lying before I put in my resignation.
