Today I had the first bad encounter with my new boss.
Two months ago we started a very interesting project of data analysis and I would be working in it with my boss guidance. All he did was to point me to the variables I needed to correct.
All the variables I analyzed and corrected improved significantly, but turns out the variables we touched have not much impact on the overall result.
So now my boss is mad at me and told me I failed on improving the global result. First, I tried to explain him that all I did has a good result, but the mistake was in the selection of the variables. Then my boss started telling “stop making excuses” so finally I decided to just shut up and wait till he stops.
A minute later, all the team receive a email by him telling this project failed, but the only fail is to not learn from fails and not hearing the other.
I hate this happened.
