Boss man thought he could slip it by me

To make a long story short, I’ve worked at this place a grand total of three months and in that time it’s already a bigger shitshow than where I worked before for two YEARS. Won’t say the exact name, not sure who could be watching, but it rhymes with Eddy’s and has custard. I put ONE SINGLE DAY on my application that I absolutely cannot work, I’m disabled and have a chronic autoimmune disorder that there’s no cure for, but the treatment for it is like 20k USD yearly without insurance, but that treatment is every four weeks and has been on Wednesdays for roughly eight years since I started the treatment. I CAN’T change when I get it because every day without it increases my risk of going into anaphylactic shock. I work five days this week. That was my schedule. I work five days this week. That was my schedule. Then I got an interesting little notification about a half hour ago (right when I got home from today’s shift) that a shift was ADDED to my already five day week, and I look, and it’s on fucking Wednesday. I immediately called the store, boss man picked up, and I told him in no uncertain terms that Wednesday is the one day I can’t work EVER because all my doctor’s appointments are on Wednesdays (to reduce the number of days I’m out), and that he agreed to that term—with [assistant manager] as a witness—on the day he hired me.

Dude has the audacity to sigh, all exasperatedly, and say “okay, I guess we’ll figure something out.” I’m so over this shitty place. He literally fired three people in the past week alone, but hasn’t hired anyone in easily the past six weeks. Don’t act like it’s my fault you can’t fill your shifts, you’re the irresponsible asshat here!

(Not to mention the fact that he was the reason my orientation got delayed by almost a week and a half because he can’t be fucked to keep his appointments.)
