so I work in social media marketing and have worked w this company for almost six months. A few weeks ago my boss told me she wanted me to get ahead by a week on my work. Meaning I’d have to do two weeks of work in one week. A weeks worth of work takes me about 40 hours.
So I tried doing that last week, and ended up working almost 60 hours. I work from home, and have to submit my hours on a timesheet every week. When my timesheet was submitted, my boss called me and got on my ass about how the company can’t pay me over time and how I needed to contact her if I go over 40 hours. She told me to stop working so much and told me not to work 40 hours this week.
I’m at a loss here because I was told to work more and now that they realize they have to pay me more it’s not what they want. I’m so frustrated because I feel like nothing I do is right.
