i got my period by surprise at work. i am anemic and have pcos. i was feeling like shit all day at work, extremely light headed and weak. i went to the bathroom and i was completely soaked, i bled through my pants (luckily they are black BUT my only pair of work pants). this isn’t rare for me but i was distressed because it’s never happened at work and i wasn’t prepared for it, also, i was covered in fucking blood. i went to tell my manger, and i spared no detail! im thinking like woman to woman she’ll understand right? and she responded ‘ok what do you need’ i told her i need to go home. she said ‘why don’t you just go across the street and get some pads and come back?’ i told her again i literally bled through my pants i need to go home. ‘ok do you want to go home to shower and clean up and then come back?’ i had like two god damn hours left of my shift!!!! again i said no i need to go home i’m lightheaded and covered in blood. i left but not before getting reprimanded for collecting my things BEFORE clocking out.
