Covid is over, it's time to get back in the office is what the boss says. He specifically says that we are all working from home fine, our work and productivity are great, but it's time to go back to the office for “collaboration”. One team member just left a few weeks ago (I don't blame him), and my only other team member only comes in once a week and will stay that way. I haven't gotten a raise in my almost two years here. I thought about asking for a raise initially but want to leave ASAP, so decided not to go through the trouble. Today, he asked me if I could pick a day or two more to come in next month and I asked if we could discuss the next time I'm in the office. He responded with saying, I'm not sure what there is to discuss, you just need to pick a day. I'm a bit shocked at that response requesting a discussion at minimum. He's said that if anyone has any issues, he will discuss. I just want to add that I have been going to the office once a week since last summer, and we have never collaborated. Ever. I sit alone in my office, do the work I could also do at home, then go home. I was going to suggest coming in the day my team member comes in so that we can actually attempt some collaborating. I know that at least one other person will only be coming in once a week. I think I'm just disappointed (but it's not surprising) there's so little regard for employee input.
