I worked in housekeeping at our local hospital and was treated like total garbage by everyone “higher up” than me. Nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, even patients. Near constant verbal abuse from everyone around us. One supervisor in particular made it hell for everyone. Constantly “checking in” on us in order to find things we were doing wrong, made sure we couldn’t listen to music, constantly criticized and punished people for small mistakes or even for things we were never informed of. I ended up quitting with the support of my girlfriend but I still have several friends working there. I found out that the supervisor told someone who had their partner on life support in the hospital, that she had to show up for her shift because “he isn’t dead yet”
That person came down and blew up on her. A few days later she was gone and everyone got a note that said they eliminated her position. I’m glad I got out of there but knowing she was fired gives me such gratification
