I lived in Australia for a while and had a job at the end of my stay there for 1.5yrs. My boss neglected to pay into my superannuation during the time that I worked there, but said he’d pay it to me directly, after I left Australia since the my superannuation account would be closed there.
In my first month out of Australia he told me the amount and said he’d pay in full in 2 weeks.
He’s paid 2/5 after multiple requests over the past 7 months because he had “unexpected costs” and this past week wasn’t able to pay rent.
I really like the guy and his family so I’m not asking for any legal help. I trust the money will come eventually, I just felt like ranting.
This money would’ve come in handy on multiple occasions since I’ve not been legally allowed to work in my new country while waiting on visa stuff
