So, back in my old job (with I quit while my boss was on vacation to go to a better opportunity after 1 year of moral abuse, I may tell you guys in other post…) My boss ruled by comparison with himself.
“When I worked at…..” And “My team knew half of what you know and made more…” Where common things to hear in my daily life. But there's one thing that pissed me off.
He just spend all of his days looking at fishing videos instead of working, and the job that was supposed for him to do was just passed down to me and my teammates.
Long history short, I was even putted to do presentations for his brother (who worked for another company) while he did his daily thing, just to receive a comment such as “when I was your age I worked 12 hours and did personal jobs for my superior while still doing my daily activities”
I never had the courage, but yeah, I really wish I had answered “and did you liked it?” Because, and pardon my angry tone, unless you really can't have a life outside work and be happy by yourself, not a single sane person would trade their free time for some sh## work as that.
Anyway, just a memory that crossed my mind and I wished to share here.
I apologize in advance for any kind of writing mistake (I'm from Brasil, and no, I don't play soccer).
