Boss’s son took complete credit for my/our work

I don’t have the best job, but it’s 100% remote without any invasive supervision, and it’s been a high enough salary that allowed my husband to focus on building his career. Now that my husband has gotten a new job with a big pay bump, I’ll be able to quit soon and look for something better for me without having to work AND job hunt. I’m very lucky to be in that position now. BUT I’ve been at this job for over 1.5 years now without any raise. One of the perks of the job was that it’s hourly AND I could work as many hours as I had things to work on each week, until about 3 months ago when I got limited to 40 hours per week with no exceptions because the finances weren’t going great. Okay, whatever, that’s fine, but I can’t even ask my boss for…

BUT I’ve been at this job for over 1.5 years now without any raise. One of the perks of the job was that it’s hourly AND I could work as many hours as I had things to work on each week, until about 3 months ago when I got limited to 40 hours per week with no exceptions because the finances weren’t going great. Okay, whatever, that’s fine, but I can’t even ask my boss for a raise now because of the financial strain.

I’m the only full time (paid) employee, and the boss is the “money man” who started this company for his son (who gets access to daddy’s money but is not technically “on payroll”) to get experience while he’s in college. His son was supposed to be VERY involved, not just in name but in practice. This has not happened at all and, in fact, the son has only gotten less and less involved to the point where he’s MIA most of the time.

Boss dad and I worked INCREDIBLY hard on creating a eLearning course for our Internship Program which we just launched last week. It was the most commitment I’ve seen come out of my boss—he has multiple kids college-aged and he’s been super committed to crafting the course and our program to give our college interns the best hands-on learning experience with the best resources and great connections to our somewhat niche industry. We put in 3 months of work completely overhauling the program, and my boss even learned how to design on WordPress himself when our freelance developer fell short.

Then, I get a call from boss's son yesterday demanding an overview video of our eCourse so he can provide it to the company he's applying for a job at for this summer, fully planning to take full credit AND HE CAN’T EVEN MAKE THE SCREEN CAPTURE AND VOICEOVER HIMSELF!!!!

HE HAD NO PART IN CREATING THIS PROGRAM. NO PART IN THE COURSE. HE'S BEEN ALL BUT MIA FOR MONTHS ON THE VERY FEW THINGS HE WAS ASKED TO DO FOR THIS COMPANY, AND HE EVEN TRIED TO PAWN HIS VERY FEW RESPONSIBILITIES OFF ON ME AND OUR PART TIME EMPLOYEE. (We told him no and I told Daddy dearest about it, since me and the part time guy both have zero time for anything extra, who then told me to just put son’s responsibilities “on pause”)

It just grinds my gears. I know it's basically what I signed up for, but my position has changed so much over the last 1.5 years that it kinda is what I signed up for but also kinda isn't what I signed up for. Just, fuck nepo babies.
