My boyfriend has been working for Amazon for around 6 months. He was making $18.50. Today he noticed that his paycheck was a bit lower than usual, looked at the pay stub, and saw that it said he was making $18 rather than $18.50. He found out they fucking docked his pay because he was “discussing wages” with another worker. What the actual fuck?? He also said he didn’t remember ever doing that, but one time he was showing a coworker something on his pay stub (unrelated to his wages) and the coworker must have seen how much he makes and ratted him out.
Unbelievable. Like seriously. No warning, nothing, just docked his pay. This man works 7 days a week all 8 hour shifts. This company needs to pay their workers more and actually fucking treat them like people. He wasn’t even discussing wages. Even if he was, that shouldn’t result in having his FUCKING PAY docked.
Stupid fucking corporations.
Also we live in California. $18 sounds like a lot but it really isn’t because housing and everything else here is insanely expensive.
