Brother in law verbally fired by amazon – how to get it in writing??

My brother in law started working for amazon recently. He believes he was wrongfully terminates and wants to file unemployment. He was fired for “Stealing time” but was he wasn’t, he was tending to his accommodation issues which he signed papers on. Does anyone have advice on his to best ask for his termination in writing? Thanks
