Went to Burger King and the manager told the people behind us that they're not taking orders for 15-20 minutes because there were only 3 employees and they were overwhelmed since they hadn't gotten their breaks so the manager decided to basically shut down for 15 minutes. People were arguing with her screaming about what are they supposed to do. The manager just said “go somewhere else or wait. They are entitled to 15 minute breaks and they are taking them. We have enough orders that it will take me 15 minutes to catch up on them alone.” Best supervisor. If I had a supervisor or management that had my back against the abusive customer onslaught I would've kept my job. But I had the opposite of that kind of management along with the lack of compensation for machine licenses and additional responsibilities that other employees don't have and a covid kicker. The people who were yelling at these employees are the same people who complain that no one wants to work. I want to work, I just want a healthy work environment with fair compensation.
