Burning Bridges is another term that needs to go

Besides quiet quitting I think burning bridges is another term that needs to go and let me explain why: You're leaving the company. Besides quiet quitting I think burning bridges is another term that needs to go and let me explain why:

  1. You're leaving the company. Your face isn't going to be plastered on the wall as 'gold employee that quit'. You have nothing to benefit from the company and neither do they when you quit.

  2. In my experience all places I've quit I've had management come down on my in a negative way by saying you 'can't just quit' and or have other employees give me shit for quitting.

  3. Unless you're thinking you can claw back your spot after you quit for reasons the chances are low now days. you'll likely have a replacement there in less than a week or your coworkers will assume your responsibility and still be mad either way.

  4. If you're interested in references either you have a cool boss or you don't. Look to maybe one or two others you can confide in if you need a reference while still working there.

At the end of the day it's just business. They're paying us to work and for our knowledge.
