When you’re tired, stop. Take a break, sleep, rest, go home.
I work seasonal agricultural jobs driving large equipment. I have done shifts around 20 hour mark on multiple occasions because the weather was turning. It’s part of the job. BUT the next day I came in late and I finished early.
When feeling sleepy at the wheel I stop. Even if that means the team has to stop. I am NOT consuming drugs or supplements for someone else’s profit – it’s not worth my health.
I advise everyone else to do the same. Don’t have RedBull gut rot for breakfast to get you through. Slow down, eat well and when you’ve had enough of work, make a stand and STOP. Make your own health number one priority.
For work, you’ve entered into a contract to exchange your labour for someone else’s gain, don’t let them take your life too. Let’s look after ourselves and take pride as individuals who have as much importance sharing our time on this planet as anybody else regardless of wealth.
