started this job a few months ago. it's an alright job, decent pay. I've only called in once. today I had to call in again because I really am sick, but i feel bad about it. the manager kind-of had this disappointed attitude about it, but I really am sick. I can't possibly bring myself to be there for 8 hours and then 8 hours again tomorrow. I've had a sore throat for 3 days, took a covid test, negative, headache, mild vertigo and horrible sinus congestion and pain from allergies whilenworking in our garden area.
they would've put me in garden again today and I just can't do it. I almost passed out yesterday from heat exhaustion even though I drank enough water. I really don't want to have to experience that again.
I decided to take today off to rest and hopefully feel better. im not the type of person to just call in all the time.
am i going to lose my job over this? I don't want a second sick day to ruin my main source of income. I can't afford that right now. I can barely afford to take the day off but i have to for my own health.
