woke up with a bad case of allergies and i’m scheduled a double today after receiving a schedule change while i’m on vacation. texted my boss i couldn’t come in for my morning shift because i feel sick. told her i’d take some meds and come in for my night shift so she wouldn’t be down a person all day. she responded and told me to bring a doctor’s note and just “come in tomorrow” when i’m scheduled off. i know once i get allergy meds to kick in i’ll feel better and don’t want to spend money i don’t need to just to get a piece of paper when nothing is seriously wrong, this is also the first time in over a year and a half i’ve been asked for a note as well (i work in a super small chain restaurant.) i’ve also been on vacation the last few days so i feel like she’s using it as an excuse to see if i’m lying or not. not sure how to respond…
