So I’m new to this sub and just had to put this experience down in writing. I had to call in sick today and the policy for this is supposed to be that you call in 2 hours in advance. I’m aware this is pretty typical for a lot of jobs, but I think it’s bullshit. If you work in the morning at like 8, then you’re supposed to wake up at 6 everyday just to tell if you’re sick and then go back to bed? Anyway I woke up about an hour before I was supposed to work, and spent half an hour retching. I ofc couldn’t reach my boss. Apparently if you don’t get a reply, you need to come to work. That’s such shit bcs it doesn’t change the fact I’m sick, the boss just chooses not to answer I guess.
