Every job I've ever had has a “point” system in place where a call in gets you a point, usually up to 5 or 10, at which point you're terminated. We know what we're doing by calling in, suck it up and just say ok. Feel better. Have a good day. Etc. Does it make you feel better thinking that regardless of the reason everyone just has to work, and if they dont they are lesser than you? Did your day get burdened that badly? Your 4x annual income than mine says to me that you deserve to do more work. Pick up a knife and start cutting some meat, get behind the line in the kitchen, grab your jacket and sit in a refrigerator cutting fruit for 4 hours at a time. Don't bitch that someone calls in you entitled PoS. Not my fault, it's yours.
