Can a manager/supervisor tell you to lower the amount of overtime hours you are working?

I work in a casino in vegas and I do security. I typically get about 50-60 ot hours on a check and he told me I need to lower it to 25-30. There are about 7 other people getting around 35-40 hours. They have all been there more than I have by a long shot. If that matters. Thank you in advance!
