Context: I work in a healthcare setting. I witnessed an employee hit a resident. When I reported it to HR, she told me I could send an email to the facility director if I wanted to. The next day I came in and EVERYONE was staring at me. I heard the employee telling everyone that HR told her I snitched on her. (This is also when I found out that the employee has a personal friendship with HR) I'm at a loss. No paper trail was started regarding the abuse. (Besides my written report to the director) The employee agreed to take a few days off to cool down. My concern is that the HR director didnt start a paper trail and name dropped me. I'm in the middle of a he said she said battle. Is this an EEOC thing???????
