Can I record a work meeting without consent (CT, USA)?

(For reference I live and work in Connecticut) I asked my HR lady (who's also a co-owner/boss's wife) via email to have a meeting with her, my boss (her husband), and all of my coworkers to discuss whether or not my coworkers and I can begin to file mileage claims for our commutes to job sites (we work in a field that requires us to drive around the state). I'm going to be transparent with my coworkers anyway and help us negotiate as a unit, but is it illegal to record the conversation without my HR lady's consent? It would be for internal use (my and my coworkers' ears) only because our field requires us to use very precise language and connotation really matters so I want to get her verbiage exact.

This link says it's illegal in CT but legal under federal law. I feel like CT law would supersede federal law here but can anyone confirm?: https://www.cga.ct.gov/PS99/rpt%5Colr%5Chtm/99-R-0987.htm
