Hello all.
I'm trying to find out the legal justification for my employer to spy on me. I work remotely at home and recently I got a message from a leadership position about some people not working fully and watching YouTube or playing on your phone, etc, and that we could be terminated for this. Although it was a group message it still raised a red flag for me. I don't use YouTube or anything on my company laptop but sometimes I'll scroll on my phone and I would also hate for them to get private information on me just by listening in on me. Is there anyway to prevent this or use this to an advantage if they were to let me go on some shit excuse? I work remotely in Michigan.
