Hello all, I tested positive for covid for Walgreens rapid test on Tuesday, April 12th. I never had a fever but my symptoms never got better, in fact they started getting worse. Today (Monday, April 18) my work told me that corporate “okayed my return to work” and If I didn't go in it would count against my attendance.
I took a at home binax now test yesterday (Sunday, April 17) and it was still positive. My gf who I live with also developed symptoms on Sunday and also tested positive.
I told my HR person this, and they said “Your test will still be positive for some time.”
I went to work for 2 hours before I started puking multiple times and ended up having to go home.
I don't think it is legal for me to be required to work with a positive covid test when I have symptoms and it's been less than a week since my first positive test.
Any suggestions?
