Been remote since March 2020. Company had us come back into the office last week. 3 days in the office 2 at home. For my job you just need a computer and a phone. Ever since coming back and sitting in my cubicle I get angry over the fact I wasted my gas and an hour in traffic to get here to just sit in front of a computer which I can easily be doing at home. Iast Tuesday I got up and just left midshift because I couldn't take it. I have been using all my sick time on the days in the office and have a meeting tomorrow with my manager and hr about this. I was already told we must be in the office 3 days no exception so I already know how this meeting will go. I've been applying already plan to leave asap.
Anyone else in the same boat? I can no longer work in an office it just doesn't make any sense being forced back in. Literally sucks the life out of me.
