I kept telling them I wasn’t feeling good last week and they tried to argue with me on it. So I saw my doctor who told me to stay home for 3 days. Of course they’re all butt hurt about it and apparently they were heard saying that I better not think I’ll be using PTO for those days because they won’t approve it. (We don’t have sick hours.)
I understand that PTO requests are at the managers discretion , but can they really deny a PTO request for days that were already missed when I have a doctor’s note to justify it and I have enough PTO hours? What should I say if they still try to deny it? How do I stand up for myself in this situation?
