Can we please revamp our electoral policies?

Most of the problems that I see in this country cannot be fixed right now. Not with our current leadership. Wage theft being a major issue. We can't have meaningful change in our country without first having representatives that are “for the people” as opposed to “for the wealthiest interests”. Whichever candidates have the most money behind them are the ones we see all over mainstream news outlets. We should be avoiding those candidates. It takes a lot of money to make them so well known, while the messages of the candidates that are running with little to no money get drowned out and buried. This is why we end up choosing between two bad candidates and the cycle continues. This is why wage theft is so rampant. This is why almost all of our major problems will not be resolved. I'm anti-Biden, anti-Trump, and anti-anyone-the-mainstream-news is promoting. I hope…

I'm anti-Biden, anti-Trump, and anti-anyone-the-mainstream-news is promoting. I hope to get more people to see things this way or at least consider the possibility that these rich people care more about wealth, power, and maintaining it, than they do your quality of life.

I'm open to ideas on how we can restructure our electoral politics and get the money out of it.

My rough idea so far is a government website, payed for by tax dollars, that we choose our candidates from. They can classify themselves on which issues they feel strongly about and plan to promote. And we can search for like-minded candidates to vote on. They could post all the content they want on their channel, etc. And we can then vote with paper backed results. I realize a lot of problems can and will arise, but this is a big change that requires many of us involved.

The news will do its own thing. We can't tackle that propaganda and misinformation until we have representatives that aren't bound by which companies sponsor them.

I can go on and on, but I've already written a wall of text and I want to keep this readable. I do hope to get some meaningful conversation from this. If you don't agree with me, please tell me why. I'm open to debate as well.

Thank you.
