I am a new grad looking for jobs right now. In my fresh, inexperienced state, I don't think I should do this now, but I'm curious for the future.
Many of the jobs I'm applying for have 8-5 working hours and I'm assuming you get an hour long lunch break. I would greatly prefer to work 8-4:30 and have a half hour lunch. Is it even possible/allowed to request this, and if so, when is the appropriate time (in terms of how long you've been working there) and how do you go about it? I wish I could do this now, but I figure it's a little presumptuous to do it at your new job right away.
