This is such a stupid problem to have and makes no sense.
I had been telling my work I was living pay cheque to pay cheque and if something were to happen to my vehicle or something, I would not be able to afford to fix it.
Well that happened! My vehicle got destroyed and I am currently ok because I am on disability due to broken bones, but once I am healed which may be soon, I will not be able to get to work anymore because I cannot afford another vehicle. If I had no parents to fall back on I would probably end up homeless.
This is insane. I am fully capable, I have a STEM degree, and I cannot get a job that pays enough to even be able to get to work.
How do these people expect their employees to come to work happy and be productive?
I want to say this stuff to their face to be quite honest, but I am applying at other places and maybe I can find a new job before my disability ends. If I can get a job elsewhere then maybe I will burn this bridge right before quitting.
Also… Do you all think I would get more responses if I use my current manager as a reference on my applications? I wasn't because I don't want them to know I am looking then get rid of me but if it will help me find something better….
