This happened earlier today and I just wanted to share it, even if it’s not too crazy. Micromanagers at work drive me crazy and my new boss was hired by my main boss specifically to micromanage myself and my co-worker.
Anyways I was on a project today and I went to the bathroom a few hours in ( I work from home) As soon as I get in the bathroom my new boss calls me from our work software. I get it on my phone but I don’t answer cause I’m using the bathroom.
Usually when my male coworker doesn’t answer the phone, my new boss pings him and asks my co-worker to hit him back up when he’s around. So that’s what I expected my new boss to do with me. But no. Within another breath he calls me again.
After I don’t answer the second time, he pings me on the work app.
“ let’s hop on a call”
I reply “ Will do, just one moment I ran to the bathroom”
He then proceeded to call me again.
I message again “ I just need one moment I ran to the bathroom.”
He then calls me TWO more times back to back before finally I assume, reading my message and he goes “ K “
I finally get off the toilet and go back to my desk and ping him “ hey I’m ready let’s chat.”
I’m assuming there must be some kind of emergency with the project I’m on.
No response for like 5 mins. I message him again that I’m ready to meet. Another 10 mins go by before he finally calls me with my main boss.
They go “ how are you??”
And im like “ im fine, but I just needed a moment to use the bathroom.”
And they both go “ ohhh yeahh no worries take your time “
How was I supposed to take my time when you call me 6 times in a row !!!
Anyways they start getting to why they called me. And get this y’all they go,
“ well we are just calling to let you know there has been NO UPDATES on the project and what your prioritizing you should continue to prioritize.”
HELLLOOOO????
They were BLOWING up my phone to tell me to keep doing the work I was doing ?? Ever since my new boss has been hired it’s been nothing but non stop calls that stop me from what I’m doing and annoy the fuck out of me !!
On top of all the micro managing they also gave me all my male coworkers work today and pinged me about when the overwhelming amount of work was going to be done every hour on the hour.
Fuck micro mangers in all jobs I wish them a very DIE!
