I am a car salesman with over 5 years of sales experience with 7 bad reviews over that time which for a car salesman is a pretty good record. I know most people think we are all bad but, honestly I’ve been held up by my reputation of being good at what I do to help more people out and make it all easier. I love doing what I do but, the hours are killing me I work 5-6 days a week 8:30 am to 7 pm usually staying late to wrap things up. If you add a hour of commuting it means between sleeping and having a job I spend less than 18% of my time at home or doing things that I actually like to do.
Here’s why I’m here I have placed 30 job applications for sales jobs and have gotten around 15 call backs pretty good odds here but, it’s just as atrocious either you are strictly commission no hourly pay (who wants to work for free) or the hours are “whenever you have time” why do these jobs selling insurance think anyone would want to be working 24/7 with no benefits other than pay.
I hate hustle culture and the age old joke of “sales is a way to get away from your wife and kids”
