Anonymous OSHA Reporting?

How anonymous is reporting violations to OSHA? I tried to anonymously report a neighbor for some illegal stuff and some how it came out that it was me. Is OSHA reporting similar? Can I report violations to OSHA without fallout to me? Even if I am covered by retaliation regulations, I still don't want to risk any fall back.

Boring desk job

Hey all, I work a desk job and really have nothing to do most of the day. And if I have a task or project, it only takes a couple hours of my day. I want use this extra time at “work” to learn, earn other money etc.. but don't want to make it too obvious. I currently work in project management and my passion and hobby is entomology. To end this off, let's kill 8 hour work days Thanks for any tips!

I Don’t Understand Thumbs Up.

First retail job. I'm in college and classes started last week. This week, I'm scheduled for one day (Friday) the hours don't affect my college classes. Anyway, today, I asked my boss if she could update my availability. I didn't think it was worth mentioning that I already started classes this week. I just told her, “Next week won't be able to work *times*”. I figured because the schedule is already set, the chances she would ask me to come into work during my unavailable time, is slim. I needed my schedule changed I can't work Tuesday and Friday 4-6pm. She texted me back saying “No worries” and asked if I could come in 3-7pm tomorrow. I told her no because I have a class. I apologize for not giving exact dates. Now I'm stressing because she probably thinks I'm dumb. But I kinda of felt like this was shady.…

Employer is outsourcing my job & wants me to train the company

TLDR at bottom. I do administrative work at a relatively small, private healthcare practice. I am the only person in the office who does the work I do, or knows basically anything about it. The work I do is relatively new in the field. It used to be rare that it was required, but now it is commonplace for a majority of companies. Even the healthcare providers don’t know much about it. When I was hired 2 years ago, I was a receptionist. I started doing the work of some SEVERELY underperforming departments because it was negatively impacting patients/the practice & climbed the ranks. This underperformance has still never been addressed because the majority of “culprits” are friends/family of the office manager/CEO. In general management is shady; we have multiple employees who “WFH” but do not do their jobs (1 of them even had ALL of their responsibilities reassigned to…

I was employee of the quarter back to back, and the employee of the year. My reward was a 4% raise

Corporate job a decade ago. I busted my ass to get promoted for a job that would cut my commute in half. I got the job and a 4% raise. The raise wasn't tied to the job. It was my standard yearly. I never got a catch up raise. I stayed way too long and hurt my career long term. Get out now. Be loyal to yourself. Your job will not care about you.

Need some evil advice for my last day at work.

So I'm about to quit this job in a month and there's a guy at work he's not my boss but I technically work under him and he's an arrogant asshole. and a big fucking idiot too. lots of other people in the staff has told me that because his mother is in the HR department he got the job very easily and that's why no one is doing anything to him despite of him making so many mistakes. so many times he has given me shit for the things that were his fault. I never said anything cause I was new and I needed the job but now this dude has been blaming me for not doing a lot of things that he is supposed to do. He gets angry at me for not reminding him to do something which he himself made a note of to remember. we…

My work is a leftists paradise. But everyone is republican

I work at a gas station. I've worked there for about 2.5 years. I get paid fairly well above a living wage ($6.50 more than livable wage according to living wage calculator for one adult with no children) and that's as a bottom tier employee with no responsibility other than just showing up to work. It has an incredible 401k program (i got about 20% of my wage last year into my 401k) and the company is completely employee owned. As the bottom tier employee I can create my own schedule and ask off any day in advance as long as I get it in Tuesday the week before and have some access to PTO (it is very lacking compared to an ideal version of PTO) The company realized that hey, they spend a lot of money on healthcare for employees and just socialized healthcare within its own company and…
