NEW: REI continues its union-busting tactics at its NYC store.”The only guarantee in any collective bargaining process is that there are no guarantees.” Corporate-speak for “I'd hate to see anyone get hurt” while rolling up their sleeves…If you work at REI, send me a DM! pic.twitter.com/YL0yYpjIyW— Jonah Furman (@JonahFurman) February 7, 2022
Antiwork is pretty pro union… buuuutttt
Police unions across-the-board help scrutinized officers for all kinds of offensives. Is this an example in which we can be against a union because it’s a public service?
There used to be lots of posts from people in this sub, telling their stories, floating up on the front page. Now almost every post from this sub that floats up are memes and screenshots of tweets. I’m probably just paranoid, but it feels a little like the memes and tweets are drowning out the stories from individuals on purpose. Either way, I personally wish memes and tweets weren’t allowed here. I wish this place was a bit more focused on the actual people that use this sub. Does that make sense? EDIT: Mods, can you make it so only text posts are allowed here?
For some reason I thought it was raised to over $10, but nope still 7.25. Any employer offering that wage should be ashamed of themselves and doesn’t deserve any business, I haven’t seen a wage that low on Indeed in a long time though. How does anyone possibly live on that salary, unless they are a teenager living at home?
