TLDR; General manager makes an offer to try to keep me on that manufacturer rep suggested 3 months earlier. I was working the front desk of a family owned hearing aid center. They have five offices. They were only paying me $12 hr. No benefits to speak of. I was the only “office staff” besides the audiologist and the hearing instrument specialist who dealt directly with the patients. That meant I did everything else including answering phones, scheduling appointments, ordering hearing aids, submitting insurance claims, taking and processing payments, doing follow up calls, making minor repairs, cleaning hearing aids, managing the phone system for the 5 offices, updating lobby displays, maintaining all patient files, mailing out marketing letters, and much, much more. I became friendly with one of the representatives from our main hearing aid manufacturer. She was very pleased with the increase in sales since I began working and…

Overworked and exploited
So I drive the city bus around my area. The job is seniority based and I'm at the bottom of the rank. Because of this I don't have much options to have my days off. Basically since we're short staffed, my supervisor will ask me if I want to work on my days off. If I say no, they will assign me meaning I have to come into work. This has happened the last 2 weeks. I'm exhausted, and I am thinking about quitting. It's effecting my mental health to where I don't feel safe operating the vehicle sometimes. I already struggle with anxiety. Can anyone relate to this?
I’m like… gonna walk out.
I am currently 21 years old, and I never drank much coffee. Starting a full time job and getting up at 6 am everyday I've been drinking it every morning and even more at lunch. If I don't I can barely keep my eyes open, and everyone around me is the same. Every other place I've worked its been the same with the people around me. The reason I'm only now suffering through this is because up to this point I worked part time because I was attending college full time. I would always schedule my classes for anytime past 9am. Im bringing this up now because my coworker came in today and went on about how she didn't have time to grab a coffee and she struggled to get through work untill lunch when she could grab a coffee. Ive found my self in simular situations recently where if…

Not Mine. But somehow it is me. https://imgur.com/gallery/DE61YEB
So an agent made a complaint about me. I entered a few things wrong on the report I emailed them and called my manager confused about these items. Instead of calling me into his office, my manager decided to come and berate me at my cubicle where not just our department is but also other departments. They can all hear the conversation. So unnecessary but I guess it gives then a sense of power to embarrass their employees.
Nearly 10 years ago I was working in a spanish phone company, my job was mostly to fix problems from clients, plan maintenance and do office stuff. After several years I was burn out, and coworkers/coordinators were abusive and pushing to get more for the same salary, It got to my limits, and decided to quit, but on my own terms. So, I decided to work doing only what my contract stipulates, and if they wanted me to do something else, then to give it to me written on paper. No more than a week and I got called to HR, they were firing me, but… The most amazing thing was the reasons. They were firing me for: never having any doubts in my job never asking questions after a meeting. spinning in my chair. Brooooooo…. I took them to court, i was so burned down that accepted the first…
