My slave driver of a boss has been giving me insane hours, long days with no breaks and it's really been taking a toll on my mental health. Today was the final straw, I was on my 7 minute smoke break when that smug prick told me to get back to work, so I told him I quit and then beat him to death with a rolling pin. The business will now totally fall apart without me! Don't have anyone else to share this with other than the police currently detaining me so I figured I'd post here. Trying to find a new job as jail shower bitch in the meantime, wish me luck!

Question about my restaurants excuse
I work for a restaurant in Southern California that is one of two restaurants that are owned by the same people. However recently when the minimum wage was meant to increase, we were denied it because each restaurant has less than 26 employees. So they stated that the two were separate and didn’t need to increase minimum wage despite being named the same thing and owned by the same people. I am now sick with covid and worry I won’t get any covid pay for the same reason
My dad told me that someone wasn't doing enough work (he doesn't have high standards, the guy just wasn't completing things he was told to do), and the guy's planning to take a break off at the end of March. I'm wondering if you think that this is fair? I believe it is, but I would like to hear other's opinions on the matter.
Did you know that it's standard practice in India for recruiters and employers to demand to know your current salary when looking for a job? This is so they can get away with offering you only a little more than that. Even if they have the budget, they cite reasons like it's their 'policy' not to pay you above a certain percentage of it. I fucked it up by not knowing this when getting my first full-time job here. (They were definitely not interested in knowing my post college income in the US prior as that obviously doesn't apply!) It's only gone up marginally more for me- about Rs.15,000 ($350) – per month since, in 5 years. Makes my blood boil.
Job Basically stopped giving me hours
So I had been working a city job for almost a year at extremely low pay due to a seasonal title. I was due for a very significant raise but new mayor decided to put a hiring freeze for at least 6 months and I was done struggling to live on absurdly low wages for a college degree holding position. I decided to go back to working as a EMT covid tester as I did in the beginning of the pandemic. I secured a job with a Cali based company to work in a pop up tent for $30 an hr literally double what I was making with city job. I was promised full time work verbally during my phone interview. I quit my city job and started working there and got in a solid 2 weeks working the tents and then was told that they were ending their pop…
Hi fam, Looking for practical advice on how to approach this. I love my job and my manager is great. However, the office is very far and I have loved working from home and spending more time with my family. The higher-ups are expecting that everyone will show up at the office full time by May and this is potentially a deal breaker. Does anyone have any tips on how to speak with my manager about this? I don't really want to quit because the job and my manager are great.
I work for AT&T as a sales rep. We are unionized. I’ll try and keep this as short as possible. When I bid for this month’s schedule I was able to get every Sunday off. This is great because Sundays are the only day I really get to see and spend time with my wife because of our different schedules. Well, we had someone quit so they put me on the schedule for all but one Sunday this month to cover. My wife was furious and cried because we don’t see each other much but there was nothing I could do.. I was equally mad. Well to make up for it we planned a big date day on the only Sunday I have off this month. I purchased movie tickets, and we planned to have dinner out that night as well as just being together the whole day. Well, when…
