It may depend on location and the size of family. For a life where you don't have to worry about not being able to afford basic things, what's the ideal amount for you? I never knew things were so fucked up for the majority of middle class people from the rich countries. There's certainly a lot wrong with the system.

I started a new job in November 2021, the role was temporarily remote due to the UK gov issuing a work from home order. I'm good at the job and enjoy it, especially working from home, not losing 8 hours a week commuting and not having to pay to get to work. I love being able to cook myself a hot lunch and spend my break with my partner or catching up on some chores. The office manager, in order to justify her job is demanding that we all come into the office full time. I personally have no interest in doing so and made it clear to them that I wasn't going to. Of course they threatened my job and told me I'll will have to be in next week. I pushed back , booked some time off and said that I wouldn't be able to come in for…
Dont know what to do
Not a native English speaker so yeah.. the works.. I started a new job at the beginning of 2022 and I think that I made a mistake.. I feel like everything is going to shit, I work on the service/installation engineer area of vey specific industry and I honestly don't know enough of the equipment to make it work, more than half the team is new and is in the same position as me or worse. It's not been a long time since I'm…

These drivers are not employees, they are independent contractors, also known as gig workers. What's the difference? Independent Contractor – Think of an independent contractor as another business. In some states and countries, they are even required to be a registered business and have a business license. Uber pays this other business for the service they provide, not for the person. This independent contractor can make their own hours and work for other people. Uber is not responsible for the independent contractor. Uber is a software company. Ubers clients are the people who want food or a ride. The independent contractors client is Uber. Independent contractors, if they are smart and have good work ethic can…
