First of all, most conservatives who say “you should stop majoring in gender studies” don't realize that most people in debt didn't major in gender studies. Almost no one majors in gender studies, and blaming that for all of the problems with student debt and job prospects is just insane. Second of all, no one knows what major is considered “good”. I have seen plenty of people go into majors like mechanical engineering or CS end up coming out jobless even though they send out hundreds of applications. So, do you believe the people who chose to major in mechanical engineering picked the wrong major? The reality is that getting a good paying job has little to do with what major you pick. Stop blaming major choices for people being in a poor financial situation. It is not the problem.

First, let me apologize if this is a) not what this sub is for and b) if this considered to be a shit-post. I’m sorry. I’ve been working at the same place for the last 3 years. It’s close to my house, there is not limit to my PTO, I have medical, dental, and vision, and they take care of us nicely for holidays, etc. For the last two years, my workload has in all ways vanished. I spend most of my time WFH, playing Xbox, and doing nothing. I’ve spoken to my boss multiple times about it and he has always said that it will pick up and it will get better, to just give it time.
