I have a newish job. I already saw/heard one of the big red flags: Last week, the roads were extremely hazardous (ice storm). Most of us made it into the office to only find out most patients cancelled their appointments. Boss tells us: ” I'm glad you all came in today. These slow days are good for you guys. It's a mental health day for you.” I don't think so. A mental health day is a day we STAY THE FUCK HOME AND DON'T RISK OUR LIVES TRYING TO GET TO THE JOB SITE. Boss is so out of touch with reality it is insane.

So to start off I've worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I've worked at celebrity chef restaurants, Forbes 5 star resorts and basically have a lot of experience. I got hired as a Server at a restaurant in the new town I moved to. After a few days of training they said because they were super busy they were going to use me as a server assistant for a month or so because they were really busy and “didn't want to throw me to the wolves” I would have turned it down, but I asked the pay difference and I was told that it's no difference and I would be paid the same as a server regardless of what tasks I'm performing.
